How have your studies at Monash helped to prepare you for the working world?
Monash exposed me to a multicultural environment as we had international lecturers and classmates. This helped me adapt to my multicultural working environment with ease.
My degree also covered a wide range of topics and this has proven helpful for me as I transitioned from different work industries (from construction to transportation/railway). I have been in the railway industry for five years, and my degree helps me to stand out among my colleagues from different universities. Railway systems cover a wide range of systems (such as power systems, telecommunication, signalling and many others), and my Monash degree had exposed me to all these topics, thus making my knowledge very relevant for today’s needs.
What did you enjoy most about your student life?
The education quality and the facilities at Monash.
What are your career goals?
I would like to be an engineering manager by 30. I would also like to bring out the potential in people so that they can be the best version of themselves.
